Here are some skills that you can work on with your child at home to help them become more responsible and successful in kindergarten! Your child should be able to do the following on their own:

1. zipping and buttoning clothes (pants, coat, shirts)

2. tying shoelaces

3. manage their own backpack: deliver messages and paperwork sent from school and be able to return any necessary paperwork back to school

4. clean up after themselves 5. Know all their personal information (birthday, phone number, address) 6. writing their name correctly (only first letter uppercase)
