Through a partnership with JHS and Southeast Missouri Hospital, students enrolled in the B.E.S.T. (Building Experiences for Successful Transitions) program are given the opportunity to take part in a variety of health care related activities in several of eighteen participating departments. During a four hour daily block, students are transported to and from Southeast Missouri Hospital and receive on site support from a certified special education instructor. Students gain experiences in departments such as Bio Medical, Radiology, Patient Registration, Central Services Sterilization, Clinical Laboratory and many more. Graduation credit equivalent to that received by Vo Tech students is earned. *Only select juniors and seniors are eligible for this program.

*All students are placed into transition programs based on IEP team decisions, with the direct input of the student, parents, teachers and others on the IEP team.
